Our Revolutionary Harmonicas

Harrison Harmonicas, LLC
Harrison Harmonicas is the only harmonica manufacturer in the USA. Currently, all harmonicas are imported from China, Brazil, Germany and Japan.
At last, the iconic instrument of American folk traditions returns to American soil, decked out in American innovation. In a global world, this may be pure sentiment, but it somehow seems inauthentic to be chugging and singing about beans and cornbread while playing a harp whose real roots are wrapped in schnitzels or sushi.
Brad Harrison's mission is to put Illinois and the USA on the map as the leader in harmonica manufacturing. Harrison has been customizing harmonicas for nearly every top professional player on a global basis, even movie stars like Bruce Wills play Brad's customized harmonicas! With his respected reputation, Brad was retained as a consultant to a leading Harmonica manufacturer in Japan. This inspired Brad to realize his vision; to mass produce his own line of high quality harmonicas right here in his home state of Illinois.
• Harrison Harmonicas has five Patent Pending designs coupled with a Patent Pending process for the harmonica’s reeds, the most important component of the instrument.
• High tech machining methods are being used to produce the world’s most resonant and durable harmonica reed in the 150+ year history of the instrument.
• Also new from Harrison will be their RRS Replaceable Reed System, the first such feature ever offered by a manufacturer. This allows the player the ability to change a reed as easily as a guitar player changes a string!
• This is all coupled with entirely new, ergonomic designs; launching the harmonica into the 21st Century! These harmonicas are not only works of art, they are working piece of art that will out last, out perform its competitors.
…this is only the beginning, Innovation lives and grows at Harrison Harmonicas, The Only Harmonica Made In The USA!

I have known of Brad's innovations for years- have relied on them to enable my performance on the harmonica to reach its peak- without Brad's advanced technology, my talents would not be fully realized. Now Brad has taken his craft and science further than ever and making it available for the masses. This is truly the first revolution for the harmonica since its inception back in the 1800's.
Thank you Brad.

These are the sickest harmonicas I have ever seen. And Brad is one of the most dedicated professionals I have ever done done business with. The whole company is driven directly from his heart. I have witnessed this first hand for the past 10 years.
Ron MachisenAugust 19th, 2009
Brad has the musical talent to back up his fantastic designs. His break through designs allow the harmonica to become an instrument that you purchase and maintain instead of having to repurchase again and again. Thank you Brad.
Richard SleighAugust 19th, 2009
I have been customizing harmonicas for over 15 years and know almost everyone in the field. Nobody is doing the kind of research that Brad is doing. He is zeroing in on exactly what makes a reed in a slot go to the next level of response and sonic richness. I can;t wait to get my hands on his harps!
Michael PooleAugust 19th, 2009

Momma didn't raise no fool - I put my order in for one of Brads *NEW B-Radical Harps* the second I caught wind that they were available for purchase! I've been waiting for a harp to come along like this for going on 15 years...I which Al Eichler the late editor of the fine "American Harmonica Newsletter," was alive to see this truly incredible innovation that Harrison harmonicas is about to shock the world with!
Bill GrantAugust 23rd, 2009
I've had many harmonicas over the last 30 years, but none like this. Having ordered Brad's instruments, they are more like works of art! Innovative! Tuned to perfection! Effortless to play! Very responsive! They are RADICAL!
Cliff HallAugust 23rd, 2009
Until now, harmonica players had to choose between harmonicas made in Germany, Brazil, Japan, or China. At last, the iconic instrument of American folk traditions returns to American soil, decked out in American innovation. In a global world, this may be pure sentiment, but it somehow seems inauthentic to be chugging and singing about chitlins while playing a harp whose real roots are wrapped in schnitzels or sushi.

Jane BidwellAugust 24th, 2009
This harp takes the instrument to a new level. It's like getting Armani couture off the rack...only it is made in America!
Andy SantanaAugust 24th, 2009

David A BakerAugust 28th, 2009
Hi from Australia,
I'am a blues man, Brads vision and product excites me, now it could be argued but this is true, Chicago is to me a place that says made in Chicago with pride, To be able to buy a high end harmonica born & bred in Chicago, means everywhere I share my music I can be proud my instrument has a blues pedigree,Brad Harrison has through passion and love given us a serious weapon, Obviously he has listened to the demanding harp player to produce a harmonica that is rich in tone that can bite with precision, sing like a canary without hit or miss expensive modifications. Most of all it is easy to play, produces a crisp and fat resonance that encourages confidence.
Brad Harrison harmonicas are sweet and ballsy they come ready to rock, they come ready to take on all comers, the box they come in is only to contain the potential of these harps, they certainly are not standard out of the box harmonicas.
As far as Chicago has style, build quality and core blues, The Brad Harrison harp, represents the passion the power and a bench mark for all other manufactures,
The bar has been raised thanks Brad, fair dinkum you have a winner.
Parris BertolucciAugust 31st, 2009
A great idea, an American made instrument to play American music, blow on.
dixie lohmarAugust 31st, 2009
The harmonica has been around since the 1820's. It has provided such an impact on the history of music. Abraham Lincoln carried one for heaven's sake . The unique thing about it is the intense emotion that is felt when listening to it. You can feel and visualize the truth to the music being played with no words necessary. There is also this infectious happiness that goes along with sound (at least to me:) The harmonica is used in blues, American folk music, classical music, jazz, country ,pop , and of course, rock and roll. It's something we all can relate to and need to appreciate more.
B-Rad, because of your unbelievable passion and talent, I know for certain that you have perfected the instrument, which hasn't been done in centuries. I believe in you and I believe in Harrison Harmonica's. I have never heard anything like it and I think it's time that the Harmonica and Bradley Harrison get the credit that is absolutely necessary. We will all be cheering for you every step of the way.
Cletus whiteSeptember 1st, 2009
A truly brilliant innovation! I want one. Plus , the design alone deserves to have a Harrison harmonica on display at the museum of modern art in new York. ( if not the Chicago art institute!). Get my vote.
Cletus White

Cannot wait to get my hands on a fine instrument like this that's made in the U.S.A.! A brilliant innovation is the RRS (Replaceable Reed System). No more reed plates that are nearly as expensive as the whole instrument.
As soon as my budget allows I will own some of these. This quality from a mass produced instrument is unheard of and would usually mean months, if not years, on the waiting list of a customizer.
VenkySeptember 1st, 2009
Bradical or Braidical- whatever you call it- it is a revolutionized harmonica- very artsy, very bluesy and very jazzy.

What a concept, make a quality instrument right here in our own back yard using quality products and opening up jobs for the American people with a harmonica that blows away any competitor hands down. Why is this guy not being thanked for his ingenuity, Integrity and staying power? Brad had the opportunity to join Suzuki in Japan and turned them down due to Brad wanting his invention to be built in the United States. Let’s help him accomplish this. Brad thanks for not always doing what your wallet needed.

Melissa WilsonSeptember 3rd, 2009
G, day how ya goin,
Aussie girl here and I love good harmonica players, Trouble is the really good ones give their money to the Germans for their harmonicas, they may make good cars but I reckon blues is America and all blues players should get behind Brad Harrison.
A Japanese company knocked out some good harps for awhile but I nearly made a jaw harp out of my bra strap when I discovered Brad Harrison's input was behind their success.
My mate Realbudgiesmuggler, reckons even the German harmonicas only play good if you send them to America to get customized, and that seems crazy to me.
America is the home of blues, and didn't we have a misunderstanding with the Germans and Japanese over who is the birthplace of Blues. .
Brad Harrison is giving inferior substandard harmonicas the bird, and positioning America and its blues heritage as the leader in quality and dependability with his new harmonicas. Good onya Brad your B harp sounds sick.
Hope you win,
p.s Jason Ricci rocks he can tongue block me anytime
RealbudgiesmugglerSeptember 4th, 2009
Only in America would you see Abbots similac simplepac, at the front of the line leading the votes.... Well if for some strange reason this ordinary product gets up, it would explain to a degree why you Yanks have been sniper-ed, by 3rd world and clever old adversaries.
Brad Harrison's B rad harp represents more than a new kid on the block, it represents America fighting back, in the most grass roots way. Pride of your blues music history and the right to claim this as your own, the guts to say hey wait a minute this instrument must be made in America for Americans, and given back to the world sorted of flaws and a disposable thought pattern.
I can see everyone of Brads harps bringing happiness and joy to all that invest in one.
America us Aussies are your mates and on behalf of all that can appreciate your technology and ability to back a product that represents everything that the Chicago innovation awards represents there is only one clear leader the Brad Harrison B radical.
Easily the most fun the most hi tech the absolute ducks guts American product that will impact and send a beautiful message worldwide, the American made harmonica by Brad Harrison is set to start a manufacturing revolution.
So if by some strange reason the similac baby scooper gets up and your ol lady buys it, tip the contents in an old ice cream container, cause that would do the same job, and fill up the simplepac with Brads harmonicas, at least then you could see why you guys have taken so long to put your country on top, all the best to you Brad you have what I reckon is the most American product on earth.
p.s Jason Ricci kicks arse, Mel is hot.
Bill GreenSeptember 4th, 2009

This is a truly original harmonica design, which promises to completely revolutionize the instrument for serious players worldwide. Astonishing considering the fact that harmonicas have been around since the mid 1800s.

Finally a well established harmonica builder (perhaps the best builder in the World!!!) creates his own line of pro grade harmonicas, Great job! Win this or not- you are going down in the history books for mass producing the harmonica in the USofA.
Thank you Brad Harrison!!!

The harmonica is one of the most American of all instruments, this is great that we will finally have a harmonica that is Made in the USA! President Obama should know about this!

Four days left to vote
Don't know who is leading anymore, last time I looked it was a plastic bucket with French formula in it.
Wrong eh, especially when these awards are in Chicago home of the blues and an American made high end grass roots shiny little work the B rad harmonica fits the bill on paper, on the world stage, even in young Freddy's garage for a touch of soul searching sounds.
When ya think about it this instrument gives more than a sick sound it gives you the same buzz that a cute puppy dog does without the crap, its portable and its affordable. Also it can talk all languages, give you cred and open doors to pro music.
And the winner of this years Chicago innovation awards goes to Brad Harrison and his B radical Harps.
The rest is history
go you good thing...

After checking out Brad's B radical harmonica and scanning the buzz, putting my lips on my foreign crappy harp now reminds me of one of those middle eastern forced marriages where you ain't got no choice but to kiss & live with the fugly.
Thanks Brad hanging out to get down with your American beauty.

This is big
All American no holes barred genuine apple cream pie home grown filth of a harmonica.
If I still had a body I could get so into those tight little holes with sweet licks & hear those sounds of wow wow ah ah that I never could get from cheerleaders of marine bands.
Bend it like my moves on the disco floor, my advice is to rise to the occasion give Brads innovation to the world and let it blow the competition away.

Hope to play one soon!

lindsey mercerSeptember 13th, 2009
I have been a serious player for about 15 years and living with the instrument's playability limitations and performance was simply some you just accepted. The B Radical is definitely more than a harmonica. It is, as last, a solution to performance, longevity, and playability. I look forward to building a full inventory of these harps.

Thanks Bradley for your kind regards. Congrats on making your vision a reality, and in turn providing a modern solution to lengthen the life of the harmonica through your commitment to technology and quality materials. Most of all I think it shows your love of the instrument and support to all who play it. Keep it up!
